Included is considerable genealogical material on various members, particularly material on the Brush family. Historical material includes copies of deeds, wills, and cemetery records; a scrapbook on the history of Suffolk County, N.Y.; and notes and essays, with transcriptions of records, on the Caroline Church (Episcopal), Setauket, 1822-1933; Setauket Presbyterian Church, 1745-1930; histories of Setauket, Stony Brook, Mount Sinai, and Brookhaven; records of Rev. Joshua Hartt of Smithtown, 1744-1826; Rev. Daniel Jones of Brookhaven, 1857-1897; and the Methodist Episcopal Church of Setauket, 1843-1910.
